From 2018 to 2024 MiracleFeet has financially supported Walk for Life with technical training, awareness programs and patient financial support. Since 2025 the support has been for training and awareness. This is provided through its Bangladesh partner.

Over 40,000 Futures Unlocked.
Every step matters.

Over 40,000 children have been liberated from preventable disability and empowered to walk through the skilled hands of Ponseti practitioners at Walk for Life.

Today, every child born with clubfoot in Bangladesh* has the opportunity to walk, attend school, and contribute productively to family and community.

Since 2009, Walk for Life has delivered transformative, evidence-based treatment to more than 40,198 children. What began as a small project initiated by the Glencoe Foundation has matured into a fully embedded, locally owned national model of excellence — officially recognized by the Government of Bangladesh in 2014 as the National Clubfoot Program.

The progress has been seamless and unbroken. Even after the Glencoe Foundation concluded its direct operational phase in 2022, the program did not merely survive — it has thrived, and expanded.

Every child treated represents far more than a medical success: it is a future unlocked, a family strengthened, and a vital contribution to the community that would otherwise have been lost to preventable disability.

In its early years, Walk for Life used philanthropic capital strategically — to prove the concept, build robust systems, train local healthcare teams, and demonstrate impact at scale. The goal was never to create permanent aid dependency, but to lay the foundations for something enduring.

Families contribute according to their ability to pay.

No child is ever turned away because of a parent's inability to pay.

This approach has significantly reduced reliance on donations while ensuring the poorest families retain full access to care.

*WFL does not operate clinics in the Chittagong Division. Clubfoot treatment is supported by SARPV in partnership with Miracle Feet.

Walk for Life is very grateful for the financial and technical support, and encouragement, of so many organizations, volunteers and friends since 2009. The Walk for Life program, Bangladesh, is recognized as one of the world's most successful — financially sustainable, with very positive clinical outcomes. Walk for Life recognizes the success of both orthopedic surgeons and physiotherapist Ponseti practitioners.
